Admission

The Summer programme is directed to advanced students and practitioners seeking a deeper understanding of international law, public or private.

The Academy courses are conducted at the level of postgraduate in international law.

The summer courses are open to:

  • Candidates who have completed at least four years of studying at university, including subjects of international law, and who can prove to the Curatorium that they possess a sufficient knowledge of the subject.
  • Candidates holding a 3-year law degree at the opening of the session of the Academy are also eligible.
  • All candidates must master one of the two working languages (French or English).

Registration fees for 2011

  • 750 Euros for each three-week period
  • 1400 Euros for both periods
  • 400 Euros for scholar students (valid only for one period, this amount will be deducted from the total amount of the scholarship 1150 euros)

Payment must be made in advance, within one month after receipt (by e-mail) of an acceptance letter and an invoice, to the account of the Hague Academy of International Law (see details on the invoice)

Your registration will not be validated and confirmed until the invoice has been paid.

Closing date for online applications:
Public International Law : March 1st 2011
, incomplete forms will not be considered.
Private International Law : June 1st 2011.

Visa: If you need a visa, you should begin the procedure at the Dutch Embassy or Consulate in your country as soon as you have received the acceptance letter by post.
