Scholarships
A merit-based scholarship program allows approximately 20% of the students to receive assistance from public and private funding sources. The Secretary-General, in the name of the Curatorium, selects scholarship recipients
Practical information
- Period:
o Private International Law: 5 - 23 July 2010
o Public International Law: 26 July - 13 August 2010 - Closing date for applications: all documents must have been received by the Secretariat by March 1st 2010 at the latest, and incomplete files will not be considered.
- Age limit: under 30 years as of January 1st 2010
- In general, study scholarships are in the amount of 1150 euros (from which the registration fee of 400 euros will be deducted)
- Travelling expenses are not normally reimbursable
- Applications for scholarships must relate to only one of the two periods
Students who wish to apply for a scholarship must imperatively provide the following documents :
- the scholarship application form typewritten, with an identity photograph
- a curriculum vitae
- a copy of all diplomas in law, translated into one of the two languages of the Academy (French or English)
- indication of the number of hours of international law courses attended, together with the results and marks obtained
- a short letter giving reasons for the application (typewritten, 200 words)
- a recommendation from a professor of international law, contained in a sealed envelope signed on the reverse side
