Election of a New President of the Curatorium

The Curatorium of the Academy, meeting in Plenary Session on 23 and 24 May 2026 in Istanbul, elected its new President, Professor Linos-Alexander Sicilianos, former Dean of the Law Faculty of the University of Athens and former President of the European Court of Human Rights.

Professor Sicilianos succeeds Professor Diego P. Fernández Arroyo. The Curatorium pays tribute to Professor Fernández Arroyo and warmly thanks him for his dedicated contribution to the Academy’s activities from 2009 to 2026.
