2027 Online Winter Courses
Considering the success of the previous online editions of the Winter and Summer Courses, the 2027 Winter Courses, which will take place in person at the Academy, will be offered online as well.
The session will be held between 11 and 29 January 2027. The Academy will offer registered attendees the opportunity to follow the courses in webinar format through the Zoom software application and the e-learning environment.

Registration for the 2027 Online Winter Courses is opened until 3 January 2027, 23:59 hrs (GMT+1).
PROGRAMME
Only the morning courses will be offered online. These will take the form of lectures in English or French, with simultaneous translation into the other language. The programme consists of a General Course and a series of Special Courses. For an explanation of the difference between the General Course and the Special Courses click here. Attendees will be able to follow three 50-minute lectures per day, from Monday to Friday, throughout the three weeks.
For practical reasons, all afternoon lectures and activities cannot be offered to online participants.
DAILY TIMETABLE AND COURSE RECORDINGS
Live broadcast – 09:20 hrs. – The Hague time (GMT +1).
- 09:20 – 10:10: Special Course
- 10:30 – 11:20: Special Course
- 11:40 – 12:30: General Course
N.B.: The first day of the courses will start later and include the Opening Speech of the Secretary-General. The last day of the courses will end slightly later, as it will include the Closing Speech of the Secretary-General.
The daily lecture sessions are offered in blocks and include breaks. Each daily session can be followed by registered attendees either live on Zoom (The Hague local time), or at any other time by watching the recording of that session, which will be made available at the end of each course day in the e-learning environment within their Academy profile.
Each recording will remain accessible for five weeks after its initial broadcast, after which it will be permanently deleted.
ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION FEES
Registration is open to all interested applicants. As the number of places is unlimited, the Academy will not proceed to make any selection.

Methods of payment:
There are no Academy scholarships available.
Upon receipt of the payment, the registration for the courses will be automatically confirmed. A few days before the start of the session, registered attendees will receive individual login details for Zoom, allowing them to access the online sessions.
N.B. : the registration fee is neither refundable nor transferable to another person.
CERTIFICATE
As Online Courses offer a high level of flexibility, the Academy does not monitor attendance for the Online Winter Courses. At the end of the session, a certificate of enrolment (not a certificate of attendance) is issued to participants. This certificate is sent by email only and cannot be provided in paper format.
E-LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
An e-learning environment will be accessible from December to all registered participants through a link available directly in their Academy profile. It will contain readings recommended by the professors prior to the courses. These recommended readings may be consulted and downloaded as soon as they are made available in the environment. PowerPoint presentations used by some professors during the courses may be added at the beginning or end of the programme, according to their specific instructions.
INTERNET CONNECTION AND TEST LINK
It will be essential to ensure that you have a good Internet connection at your viewing location, as well as speakers on your computer, in order to be able to follow the Online Winter Courses.
