Curatorium member elected new President of the ECHR

Linos-Alexander Sicilianos, member of the Curatorium of the Academy since May 2010, has been elected President of the European Court of Human Rights. Having been Vice-President of the Court since May 2017, Mr. Sicilianos (Greece) will succeed Mr. Guido Raimondi (Italy), whose term of office expires on 4 May 2019.

The President of the Curatorium of the Academy and its members, as well as the Secretary-General and Deputy-Secretary General, have warmly congratulated Mr. Sicilianos on this wonderful achievement and wish him great success in this prestigious position.
