The Hague Academy Side Event on November 1st, 2019, in New York
The Hague Academy of International Law, in collaboration with the Permanent Missions of Andorra, Brazil, Chile, France, Gabon, Germany and Ukraine to the United Nations, will hold its third “Side Event” on Friday, November 1st, 2019, between 9:00 am and 10:15 am on the United Nations premises, in New York, on “The Topicality of the Fundamental Principles concerning the Peaceful Settlement of International Disputes, as Set Out in the Manila Declaration of 1982”.
The participants will have the opportunity to hear the addresses of H.E. Judge Abdulqawi Ahmed Yusuf, President of the International Court of Justice, and of H.E. Judge Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade, Judge at the International Court of Justice and member of the Curatorium of The Hague Academy of International Law. This conference will be moderated by the Secretary-General of the Academy, Professor Jean-Marc Thouvenin. The Event will be held in English and French, with simultaneous translation.
