The Academy welcomes release of Professor Maurice Kamto

The President of the Curatorium of The Hague Academy of International Law, the Curatorium and the Secretary-General of the Academy are delighted that Professor Maurice Kamto, member of the Curatorium, has, since October 5th 2019, regained the freedom of which he had been deprived. Professor Kamto will thus be able to take full part again in the activities of the Academy where, for more than eight months, the voice of Africa had dramatically deafened to the great detriment of African jurists. The Academy wishes Professor Kamto a speedy recovery from the trials that hit him so hard.
