The passing of H.E. Judge Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade

It is with deep sadness that the Academy was informed on Sunday 29 May of the passing of H.E. Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade.
Judge Cançado Trindade was an active Member of the Academy’s Curatorium for 18 years.
His commitment to the Academy, to which he dedicated his best courses and lectures, was as great as the admiration of the Academy’s audience, which included many Brazilians. A prolific professor and judge, his legacy to the world of law is immense.
The Academy extends its deepest condolences to his family and friends.
