Accommodation in Summer

The Academy is not responsible for providing, nor provides accommodation to attendees. To help you to find a convenient place to stay, we can provide the following information:

Skotel The Hague
Skotel The Hague offers rooms to rent exclusively to attendees of the Academy’s Summer Courses, in order for them to be housed together. Skotel The Hague is the training and study hotel of the Hotelschool The Hague. During the academic year it accommodates first year students of the Hotelschool. Skotel The Hague offers a shared student room for 20 nights for €510, (which is €25,50 per person, per night). The sanitary facilities will be shared with a maximum of 4 students of the same gender. In case you don’t want to share a room, you can book a shared room for single use for 20 nights for €990 (which is €49,50 per night). In this case the sanitary facilities will be shared with only one other student.

For your convenience, after you will have received your official letter of admission to the Summer Courses, the Skotel will contact you to enquire whether you want to book a room. Interested attendees will receive a confirmation of their reservation along with the payment details directly via the Skotel.

The address of the Skotel is:
Skotel The Hague, Zwolsestraat 189, 2587 TZ The Hague

Rooms in private homes

For those of our attendees who would prefer a more private accommodation, you have the possibility to stay in a room in a private home through the independent support provided by Mrs. Gertie Burgers. With this option, you will enjoy your own private room, a shared kitchen and a shared bathroom for 20 nights for €700 for a single room (which is €35 per night, per person, per room) or €1000 for a double room (which is €50 per night). Should you wish to share a double room with another student of the same gender, it will cost you €580 for 20 nights (which is €29 per person, per night).  Payment should be in cash made upon arrival, directly to the host family.

Attendees are advised to arrive on the day preceding the beginning of the courses. If you need a visa, it is your own responsibility to obtain proof of accommodation to be submitted to the competent Visa authorities (via the Skotel, via the independent service of Mrs. Burgers for the host families or a third party).

The Academy requires no payment for accommodation and is not responsible for the success of the transaction between an attendee and accommodation providers. The Academy also is not liable for cases of non-payment, the quality of the service provided, cancellations or any other difficulties arising between the attendee and said accommodation providers.
