Doctoral Scholarships
Doctoral Scholarship Application:
1. Please consult the conditions for admission for the doctoral scholarships prior to submitting an application.
2. Applications are made by filling in the Summer Courses application form and selecting the “doctoral scholarship” option.
3. Prior to initiating the online application, the following documents must be prepared for upload:
- A copy of a valid passport or, for citizens of the EU/EEA/CH, a valid national ID.
- An identity photograph.
- A certificate of enrolment at a university.
- A copy of the highest obtained diploma.
- A curriculum vitae.
- A letter of motivation (typed, maximum 1.5 pages) including a sworn statement confirming that the thesis is nearing completion, barring unforeseen circumstances.
- A recommendation letter from the thesis supervisor, verifying that the thesis is close to completion.
- A memorandum outlining the thesis topic and its general structure.
If any document is not in English or French, a translation must be provided. Self-translations are acceptable if accompanied by a sworn statement attesting to the accuracy of the translation, including the date, location, name, and signature of the translator.
The letter of recommendation must include the referee’s full title, name, institutional affiliation (university or organisation), and email address. Letters may be written in English or French, must be signed, and submitted directly by the referee in PDF format to: scholarships-bourses@hagueacademy.nl
Results of the doctoral scholarship selection process will be communicated via email in April.
