The Winter Courses
Before the Courses
The Winter Courses are targeted at students and practitioners seeking a deeper understanding of international law, whether public or private. To attend the courses, applicants must apply online.
The Winter Courses are open to:
- Applicants holding an undergraduate university degree in law (BA, AB, LL.B. or equivalent) by the start date of the Winter Courses, or a document certifying completion of three years of university-level legal studies, preferably including prior coursework in international law.
- Applicants who have completed at least four consecutive years of university-level studies, which must have included coursework in international law.
Scholarships for the Winter Courses are open to:
- Applicants holding, at the time of application, an undergraduate university law degree (BA, AB, LL.B. or equivalent) at a minimum. Preference will be given to applicants holding a master’s degree or higher.
All applicants must demonstrate proficiency in one of the two working languages: English or French.
Online Legal French Courses offered by Alliance Française
The Hague Academy is pleased to renew its partnership with the Alliance Française The Hague, which is offering online Legal French Courses, supported by the French Embassy in the Netherlands. Before the 2026 Winter Courses to be held in January, all participants, whether attending onsite or online, will have the exclusive opportunity to follow a two-week intensive course in Legal French from A1 to C1 levels. These 20-hour courses are available at the attractive price of 99 euros and will take place from 15 to 19 December 2025 and 5 to 9 January 2026. Information regarding the registration process will be available for registered participants in November.
